Industrial Reverse Osmosis

Industrial RO has many applications. from boiler feed water, to car wash water, to process water. New applications include grey water recycle water.

RO systems work by forcing raw water through a membrane (at high pressure). Only the water molecules get through and all the minerals are concentrated in a waste stream. Typical industrial RO's can remove 97% of the minerals and are 75% efficient (25% waste). Higher recovery or mineral content systems are available - see  table
